Stocks Can't Dig Out From Drop

Stocks and oil finished out a lackluster week Friday with investors still jittery about the U.S. economy's direction despite some better-than-expected data.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average, which plunged 283 points in the previous session, recouped 21.41 points to end at 11370.69, off 1.1% on the week. Its strongest component Friday was Microsoft, which advanced 2.8%. Weakest was General Motors, which slid 8.5% after Chief Executive Officer Rick Wagoner said today he expects July auto sales to be similar to last month, when the auto maker's U.S. sales fell more than 15%.
