American Axle, UAW Reach Tentative Deal

DETROIT -- American Axle & Manufacturing Holdings Inc. said late Friday it reached a tentative agreement with the United Auto Workers union, a development that could lead to ending a nearly three-month strike that has strained labor-management relations at the auto supplier and crimped production at General Motors Corp.

American Axle spokeswoman Renee Rogers confirmed the two sides reached an agreement, but wouldn't give any more details or comment.
